They got in the tournament becuase they WON all their qualifying games you idiot.
I take it you are another traitor living in England? Being fed by the English/British Economy, housed, given a job and your kids a place in an English school for free, & given all their books and pens for free?
Nice to know we have such decent people living in our society.
Now why don't you move to France.

u thick or what? no offence but what planet are you on mars?
England got in by playing the qualifying rounds which took place last year 2005.
England are a great team and not every team have their glory days but ours will come. look at Brazil... they're knocked out and they're the strongest team with 5 world cup wins.
think about it were lucky to get to this stage of the World Cup when i think about up to 16 teams have been sent home in the last 2 week by not getting pass this stage so England are not rubbish, i think you're brain needs sorting!
the only thing that's bad about England was the lack of strikers and that manager Sven is sh!t

The current England squad is the worst ever! There just isn't any teamwork and their games have been so embarrassing to watch. How on earth did Crouch make the squad, let alone the team! I am very sad that they lost today but am not surprised. Compared to other countries I have watched, England are by far the worst. Football has become far too money orientated all round and has been ruined in my opinion. Think back to the days of Shilton, Pearce, Butcher, Robson, Gascoigne, Barnes, Beardsley, Gary Lineker etc. That was a team.

I agree with superstar. There are a lot of freeloaders living here grabbing all the benefits with both hands: welfare, education, NHS, etc, but ask them to fly the flag for England during the world cup and they would rather stick pins in their eyes.

Come to think of it....BRAZIL and ARGENTINA just got knocked out in the quarter finals too....they mut be SO rubbish, how on earth did they qualify? And Spain must be even more rubbish as they got knocked out even before Brazil and England...
England played their qualifyers like all the other teams...why shouldn't they be in the finals?
Grow up!

England deserved to be there, and I am glad that they were.
I was even happier though when they were knocked out, but sad that it was on penalties rather than during open play.
Suspect that Wayne Rooney will get the blame for England being out.

Through qualification rounds, like any other country (with the exception of the reigning world champions and the host nation, which are qualified automatically).

Through qualification. Why not move to 10 miles off the coast of France?

I wonder what YOUR problem is?
How do you think England got as far as they did?
They are a good team.
