I feel sorry for him. He didn't even deserve it.
In my little opinion, it was either cops or inmates... either one will be able to do this... Think of it this way: who ELSE an access to an inmate in the night? WHO in their mind would like to injure a person like that? And, WHY is the most appropriate question for this!... Thank God that little lightbulb didn't break, he could've died without even knowing it!
In my opinion, it's just a sick joke to play on someone in prison... I can only shudder at a thought just where the level cruelty ends for some people and vicious others can get!

Ask anyone who's worked in a hospital emergency room for any period of time.... men show up all the time with strange things trapped in their anus. Coke bottles... vibrators... screwdrivers... hammer handles... you name it. And they usually have no idea how those items got there, or they insist that they just happened to be walking naked through the kitchen, when they slipped and fell... and landed on an empty coke bottle... and it rammed itself straight up their azz... past their sphincter... and they can't get it out.
