I was watching the news, and Dubya was talking. He told a joke, and then laughed at it. My four year old said "Why is he laughing. That wasn't funny. It was stupid"
I think with that statement, he summed up the Bush administration better than any of us ever could.

Very bright. But a word of warning. Care must be taken when exposing a young person to this kind of morally questionable spectacle where an adult acts like an idiot, lies, and then gets rewarded for it. It definitely calls for supervision and guidance.

What a golden opportunity you missed out on! A time to tell your son that different people have different ideas on humor - as well as many other things. To let him know that we are all unique and have something special to offer to this world. To let him know that Bush is not all right or all wrong just as he is not.
A great opportunity to open your sons eyes to the world exactly as it is - instead you left him thinking he is smarter than an adult who has been running this country for almost 8 years. Grow up and be a good parent by teaching your child tolerance, acceptance, and humility.

sounds like he's working on about a 6 year old level... not quite a political genius....
other four-year olds, and Bush clearly, would've probably laughed at the joke...

Judging by the Liberal bent of your other posts, I suspect your son is just trying to suck up to Mommy by parroting what he thinks she wants to hear. Don't be hard on him...it's natural at that age. Hopefully, he will grow into a mind of his own someday.

. What your kid meant was that he wants to watch Spongebob or something else that 4 years olds like to watch, not CNN. Give your kid a break, and stop forcing him to watch political shows.
He's not going to be a political genius like that.
