When wired, it works just fine. Wirelessly, it doesn't work at all. I'm using AT&T Yahoo! DSL (with a 2WIRE base station). When trying to connect wirelessly, my computer says it has "a self-assigned IP address and may not be able to connect to the Internet". No other computer around the house works wirelessly either. Help and tips appreciated. Thanks.

When you wire them, your local area connection would be enabled. You need to go to your connections and make sure that local area connection is disabled and Wireless Connection is enabled. Then it will automatically search for the signal and trigger it.

Also, just because you have a router, doesnt mean it will be wireless. Make sure you have a wireless router and make sure your computer also has WIFI capability or has a wireless adapter/card.

Before trying to connect wirelessly, you will need to hard wire the computer to the DSL base station and make sure you have connectivity.

If you do have connectivity, set-up your wireless configuration on the computer and in the modem.
Once you have made the necessary changes you should restart both devices.
When they are powered back up again, double-check once more that you have connectivity still with the hard wire.
Then disconnect the ethernet cable, and "View Available Wireless Networks" on your computer.
You should be able to see, and connect to, the Wireless Network you created previously.

That's it, you're done.

is the station wireless or connected to a wireless router? if its connected to a router, youll need to go into the configuration for the router and change the authentication to PPPoE and enter your DSL's username and password for the router to connect to your ISP. I hope this helps.
