Would you want to be a teleworker? I mean somebody who works from home, or any other place, using the Internet (a real job, not scams). Writing, designing, consulting, designing, I don't know. There are so many options.

Or do you still prefer commuting to the office every morning?

Does teleworking has a future?

Telecommuting you mean! = that is the future. It is already here. One of the major employers who use Telecommuting is Southwest Airlines. An author who researched about it wrote, "When he called to reserve a ticket, he asked the ticket agent where she was, her answer, "Honey, I am in my pajamas, in my home". Hawaii is going to be a crowded place. We need to get to Mars as quickly as possible.

Not only does telecommuting have a future, it is a present reality.

The fact is, in certain professions, much of the work can be done anywhere. With the help of technology - phones, internet - Yahoo Messenger instant messaging with voice and video - much of communication can be accomplished when needed, as needed, withouth having to spend time commuting.

Meeting in person can then be scheduled for when it really matters - brainstorming, negotiations, working lunches :) :) - without making it necessary for folks to merely show up mostly in order to "be seen".
