Uh, excuse me, but out of those three teams you named, Argentina *did* make it to the quarters. And we fared better than the English (We actually scored a goal on the Germans, before they killed our goalie and tied). But unless you live outside the USA, what you don't know is that making it to the quarters isn't enough. Football nations want to win it all (usually for the second, third, or fourth time, sixth if you're Brazil), and not getting there is a failure. Football is more than just a game, especially in the third world where lots of people have nothing and football is played in the streets.

The USA use bats and rugby looking gear in their idea of football don't they?? running around in a circle like you did playing rounders all those years ago at school??!!!. Spain are OK, Argentina much better.....but England will always have the most bad luck but the best talented players.

England always get to the quarter finals....I am upset they gave the Portuguese a gift, that is what penalties are like "A Gift".. considering that England were down one man England should have won that even still....Erickson is out as manager and there will be the next World Cup...did you see the Brazil V France game...wow...I am very very happy Brazil is out..now lets see if Germany will win the cup..YEAH!!

I am an English fan and I wasn't upset that they didn't win today. Why? because they didn't play great in their games. Good but not great. They wouldn't have made it to the final anyway, especially without Beckham or Rooney. I am proud of how well they did but I want to see a real final....I think Germany and France have been the best so far in their games so I hope the final is between them. I want France to win!!!

Excuse me but you listed the US as a better team. At least England didn't lose two games. The only game the US didn't lose was from the Italian team kicking one in for you. ( i noticed ABC didn't really bother to replay the US team's only goal)

Fan from England, Brazil, Argentina, Mexico,Italy...etc. aren't satisfied unless they win the whole thing. That's just how it is. I think what they are angry about is that they had their chances to win and couldn't take advantage.
