It's not really a shocker, but there will be no Sammy Sosa in Washington this season. That's because it's looking like there will be no Sosa in the major leagues at all. The storied slugger appears to be hanging up his bat and cleats for good, although he leaves the game under less than certain circumstances. Wednesday Sosa told the Nationals he won't be accepting their one-year, $500,000 offer and later his agent Andy Katz confirmed that Sosa is probably done with baseball. There is reason, however, to believe that the Slammin' One may return. First, Katz admitted he and his client aren't putting Sosa on the retirement list. Second, he's only 12 dingers away from the hallowed 600 club that includes only Hank Aaron, Babe Ruth, Barry Bonds, and Willie Mays

Sammy Sosa stayed part of Baltimore Orioles, now he's the free agent but he turned down to play for Washington Nationals this year. He might to used the steroid that MLB need their times to research current and old players.

thankfully not for the Orioles anymore. personally I think it was a ploy for the O's to have Sosa and Palmeiro on the team to have a shot to have two 600 home run hitters. I hate Angelos, he ruins everything he touches on that team

Who gives a crap. Sosa is a steroid user also and should've gotten no better treatment than what Bonds is getting now.

He was released by the Orioles in the offseason, and no one has attempted to sign him since.

He was, and I think still is a free agent. You never know, someone may scoop him up, look at Roger Clemens.
