Are you anorexic? That might be the cause. By the way, anorexia can cause far worse problems as well. Try eating more and see. If you still aren't getting it, then you should see the doctor. Also, I didn't try to figure out how old you are. If you just started, they can be somewhat irregular in the beginning. I remember skipping a month or two hear and there, but if they've been normal for some time and this just happened, you should check with your doctor. This is somewhat normal for girls who just started their period or women who are going into menopause. Other than that, there's trouble somewhere. Hopefully it is just your diet and will be easily solved.

Skipped periods can be signs of other things. Including stress.
other things include endometriosis. Fibro tumors that are benign. Ither way. Go get a check up. Sounds like your young and in experienced or you would have gone to the OBGYN by now. What kind of Pregnancy test did you take? Usually skipped period means your pregnant. I hope the doctor's have confirmed that your not. Did they check to make sure you dont have a tube pregnancy?
Good luck! I hope you find your answers. You need medical advice. Unfortunetly I am not a doctor. Just someone with alot of female problems in the past. Exspecially skipped periods that were nothing but skipped periods. "Dont freak out too much" it CAN HAPPEN".

you should visit the gynecologist. I had a friend who was not pregnant but her period went away for months at a time.
If you just started getting your period then it is normal to have an irregular cycle.
If you didnt, then you should probably take a pregnancy test if you have had sex.
Go to the gynecologist and they can check it out and see what could be causing your period to fluctuate like this.
I wouldn't stress over it, sometimes stress will cause a late period.. but I dont think 3 months late.
I don't believe it is pregnancy (you would know by now)..
so don't stress, go see your doctor, and you'll be alright
goodluck

Actually, this is not an uncommon experience. The correct term is amenorrhea. This condition is common in female athletes, are you an avid athlete, or in exceptional physical condition. Believe it or not, being an athlete can actually have an adverse effect on your overall being. Females with a low body fat percentage commonly experience a lack of period. If this condition persists, it can increase your risks for certain conditions in the long term. You should certainly contact your OB/GYN. There is not anything that you should be scared about, and can relatively easily be treated.

You don't ever want to freak out about stuff like this, but one of my favorite mottos when it comes to our womenly problems is when in doubt, check it out. If its bothering you, call your doctor. A lot of the time, you can talk to a nurse or something right then and there and they will tell if you need to come in. The signs that you listed as well as the other answerers are all true, however, until you see a doctor don't stress yourself more!! Good LUCK!

If you are not pregnant, you should definitely visit a physician. You may have hyperthyroidism, which means your thyroid (a gland near your neck) may be producing too much hormones (they control body's metabolism). If you have this, you may experience some other symptoms such as: sweating, hair loss, tachycardia (heart beating too fast), wt loss with increasing appetite (this last is not your case). If not hyperthyroid, your adrenal glands(over the kidneys) may be producing too much norepinephrine and epinephrine (also hormones). If not, are you anorexic? Do you exercise too much and don't even eat? In any of all those cases, you must visit a doctor. Hope this helps.

I have a different answer you say you are losing weight maybe you need to have your blood sugar taken. Are you excessively thirsty and peeing alot? My husband started dropping weight fast and getting up in the middle of the night to pee and I sent him to the doctor he has never before taken any meds in his life or had any help concerns before now. He is on 3 pills a day. And see a doctor anyway, its always good to check something like that out.

Yes, not eating properly can cause you to skip your period - but why are you not eating? You'd be best to see a good doctor. Freaking out will make it worse - so you are stressing if that's what you're doing.

Depending on your age its probably nothing to worry about. If you are active and losing weight (hopefully in a healthy way) those are both causes, in addition to the stress of worrying about it. Just calm down. if you're in your teens don't worry at all. If you're over 20, it probably wouldn't hurt to talk to a doctor.

if ur not eating properly and losing weight that is probably the reason. I know if ur under a cerrtain weight ur period can cease. (i think it's 7.5st) if i were u i'd go to a doctor jus 2 get checked out, it will stop u worrying and stressing. i really hope u do get this sorted and please start eating properly cos it's not doing u any favours. good luck
