Do not like fair tax plan, it is not fair to poor or wealthy - only the $85,000-$150,000 would benefit. They will never abolish the IRS, too much money involved. They also have too many taxpayers that owe back taxes to just shut it down.

If you're talking about a flat tax, I think it's a great idea. However, not only the IRS would have to scale down, but tax lawers and accountants would be in trouble too.

Yes, they will one day abolish the IRS. It has gotten out of control and we need a better way to figure our taxes.
Certainly it won't happen until something much better is in place. It's the age of electronics.........perhaps we'll have it completely robotized?
