Hi teachers & students.
I am offering to become a SUBSTITUTE Teacher w.i. my local school district this coming new school year. I collect ideas (thanks room!) of activities for the students.
I have heard about a "connection" (idea) program called FLAT STANLEY that intriegues me.
I know this might be misconstrued as an idea from WAY OUT there, but I intend to introduce Flat Stanley into the classroom.
%HOW and what "constraints" could or should I apply with this idea?
Thanks.

When Flat Stanley has come to visit me he has been sent by one of my nieces or nephews. Generally, each student in the class cuts out and colors a Flat Stanley and sends it with a form to someone they know who lives far away. My niece/nephew send them to me in China, and then I send it to my sister in Greece, who sends it to our sister in New York. She sends it back to the niece or nephew.

At the same time, we send a letter directly to our niece or nephew at their school address.

Hope this helps.

You can actually email other schools or teachers who use it. I know it is used a lot in Texas, so check around and someone can help you!
