Somewhere I have missed what the reason was or is for taking Star off of The View. Would you tell me what you heard the reason is?

Well I saw something on this last night but I don't trust the source a heck of a lot, 'Inside Edition'. Anyways, they said that her contract was not renewed because her numbers had gone way down during all those shows about her wedding... I know I stopped watching during that too because I couldn't have cared any less about watching some super rich woman getting married.
OH yeah and the person above me is right. There was something about her doing all those plugs (free advertisment) for companies that would give her free wedding stuff.

I personally think that Star was going to be booted off the show and she knew this and decided to go ahead and make her break. I am going to miss Star being on The View. I will have to wait and see when Rosie (if she does) comes on the show to find out if I will still like The View or not. I am not real crazy about Rosie even though she is said to be a wonderful person. This is just my option.
Access Exclusive: Star Leaves 'The View'
BURBANK, Calif. (June 26, 2006) -- Star Jones Reynolds will announce her departure from "The View" this week, Access Hollywood learned.
A source close to "The View" told Access Monday that Star Jones Reynolds will leave "The View" in July and will announce the departure on the show this week.
As a result, the much discussed face-off between Star and incoming co-host, Rosie O'Donnell, will never occur.
O'Donnell is not joining the gals until September.
By July, Star will have been at "The View" for close to nine years, having been a part of the show since its inception in August 1997.
Barbara Walters, creator of "The View" and Star's fellow co-host, did not return Access' calls for comment.

I'm not a fan of the show but I used to turn it on every once in a while. Personally I can see why they fired her. That tacky wedding, the endless me me me bullsht, then they called her in the hospital after her boob job & she blabbed on & on & on, Joy rolled her eyes, & looked pissed. That was funny!! Starr is Starr's fav topic & biggest fan. No one cares about her, her gay husband (he was asked about the "gay" rumors before the wedding & answered "Starr & I know all about each other's past" NEVER denied it!) fake hair, eyelashes & boobs. She looks scary now. I might have tried to watch it again. But Rosie will probably be just as bad. She'll have to but gay this & that into every other sentence or rant about the NRA. BORING!!

They did not take her off. She suprisingly resigned as she did not want to be on the same show as Rosie O Donnel (sp?). Rosie apparently said that she lied about all the weight that she lost that she did not get surgery and what not. Starr did not want to be on there with her so she left. However it is my understanding that she was having issues with other people on the show as they were with her.

Supposedly, they knew they weren't going to renew her contract and they said she could announce it at the end of the week...well she announced it on Tues and pissed off everyone else on the show. I read that the viewers weren't too thrilled with the skinny version of her and her glitzy wedding to what's his face...OMG did I actually KNOW that?? must...get...life

there were lots of rumors I heard her contract was up i also heard she did not like rosie o donell or people didn't like her anymore .

because she was always doing shameless plug for all the free stuff she got from different places for her marriage. she didn't pay for anything when she got married.
