Why are people so arraogant that they feel they can tell someone else how to look,act or live?

Because people believe they know better than others. If they didn't believe this, their whole way of life would have to change. No one wants to do that. They use the fact that even a few others agree with them as validation that they indeed do know better.

Well, I for one have thought many times "If the whole world would just listen to me, the world would be a better place." Fortunately, I realize that the world probably doesn't want to listen to me, and what I think is probably not best for everyone.
But a lot of people have these ideas about how they think the world should live, and they're under the notion that other people feel the same way (and that whoever doesn't is just a society ruining dipsh*t).

they can try to tell me how to look act and live but I do what I want . Screw all the arrogant a holes that try to tell me not to wear my hair long and that I should become a one of the conformist sheep etc I live my life how I want and always will. Some people get their jollies by trying to tell others what they should be doing . Maybe they should be looking at their own selves once before they criticize others

But we just KNOW we are the smartest person out there and our opinions are the correct ones. Which is true of course, to us at least xD

But I know what you're getting at there. Its really annoying when people try to live your life, like all the people on this site arguing about which religion people should belong to instead of realizing that someone else's religion has nothing to do with them.

Some people are seriously concerned about how certain behaviours affect their children, or our young people in general. Or they could be concerned about how those behaviors might affect their community, which, in turn, would affect their own lives.
Some just like to feel superior.
Sometimes it is really hard to tell the difference.
One thing I do know...NOBODY would be comfortable if anarchy reigned.

because they are so insecure about themselves. most of the time they have a lot more problems going on then you do, and somehow it makes them feel better about themselves. most likely they wished they had going on what you do.
