Which couple is the most tragic?

I'm a fan of star-crossed lovers and I've always thought Anakin and Padme were the most tragic of couples. They are not like Tristan and Isolde where they had an affair and one of them died. (I love the movie though). Anakin and Padme met when they were young and fell for each other over time and despite the controversy over their relationship got married and had the chance to live a normal life but obviously fate had something different in mind. Padme dies and Anakin becomes of the most evil characters ever. Anakin ends up trying to destroy the lives of the greatest thing to come out of his love for Padme.
Anakin and Padme also have legacy thanks to their children. So their story continues on even after their death. Even my friends who hate SW even agree that this couple is the most tragic. So I'm asking you @ Yahoo!. Which couple do you think is the most tragic??

I agree with you- Anakin and Padme have more of a desolate star-crossed lovers fate that carries on for generations... Tristan and Isolde made choices that led to their tragedy.

FACT: Bobby and Whitney.
She came from a respected,christian family.
He came from "The Hood".
Oil and Water,do not mix!.

FICTION: Romeo and Juliet.
Although both came from respectable,and rich families, one family always thought they were better than the other,and that Romeo and Juliet,were not good enough for each other. This is a good example of "Too much money,too much power,and not giving the children what the soul needs: "Love and Affection".
