I saw Al Gore's movie, "An Inconvenient Truth". It scared the hell out of me. I'm still a bit skeptical about the scientific evidence of global warming, but I am very concerned.

If you just look up "global warming" on Wikipedia, the situation is listed as fact. They cite that temperatures have increased about six tenths of a degree in the 20th Century.

What really scared me in Gore's movie was scenes of the glaciers breaking apart and crashing into the ocean. The glaciers aren't just melting on the edges. Far inland, huge cracks in the ice are forming, and the ice is melting like a popsickle in the sun. The cracks make the glaciers more likely to split and break apart, sliding into the ocean. The process just seems to be accelerating.

On the flip side, how do scientists explain that when Greeland was first colonized back around 960 A.D., it was so warm that they could plant crops and have livestock grazing all year? Greenland is much colder now.

You know there is no such thing as global warming. That was just made up by the Liberal Media as a distraction. There was also no Ice Age, as well made up by Liberals. The reason it's so hot is that the Liberals are making it hot with their anti-Bush technology. Darn those Liberals...

Of course it is real. The temperature of the earth has gone up steadily each year. The question is what is causing it. Is it peoples use of things like oil and coal or is is just the way the earth works.
