Anybody, i need to know how much abortions cost, does it hurt and how long does it take before it is complete?

i'm 19, i live in canada, and i cant have this baby. Im about 6 weeks pregnant. Dont start with the whole lecture on how bad i am, ive heard all that crap just give me hard, solid truthful information. Thanks you

Here in the states it depends on where you go. Some places range from 200-500 but that is without anesthesia. I recently went through this process and it cost me 1500 but luckly insurance covered 1000 of it. If you have insurance, or are on a parent's plan and don't mind them knowing then it can be covered on there plan. Plan to be in the office from 3-6 hours (closer to 6) First what they will do is have you fill out paperwork, then you will wait and next go in for an ultrasound. You will have to then pee in a cup after which comes more waiting, then they will call you for blood work. After this more waiting. Finally they take you for counseling, they take your cash and go over your forms.
Then finally comes the procedure. The procedure itself only takes about 10 min. And if you are put to sleep you won't feel a thing, then you wake up and go home.
You have untill fourteen weeks to get this done. The longer you wait the more it costs.
After the procedure you won't feel much pain and you might bleed a little, you will need to take one day to rest. Take your meds and rest and you will be fine. I had it done on thur. Felt kind of bad fri. ( a little tummy pain) And went to work on sat. Your tummy will hurt for a little while but mostly that is like cramp pain.
It is really scarey to be in the room alone as they put you to sleep. But you will be fine. Just remember that if you aren't ready than you are making the best choice you can for your baby.

There are other options besides abortion.
Who could this little child be that is inside you?
You are taking away his or her chance to live, if life is not recycled (or reincarnation does not happen) then this baby has lost its chance.

Most women who have abortions usually go through a stage of depression for some time afterwards.

Why can't you have this baby? Parents? College? Financial Issues?


There are ways around all of that. Please don't take the childs life.

You are in the first trimester so the baby is still developing. I've seen pictures of abortions in the first trimester and you can see the babies little feet and hands!

You will be able to feel the baby squirming inside of you trying to live. Wouldn't that make you feel horrible afterwards?

I think you should not think of this baby as an "it" as something that can be brushed off and forgotten about. This is a human being and abortion is not worth it.

My mother had an abortion and she has always regretted it, in the back of her mind she thinks it could have been another amazing child. With a bright future ahead.

Please just think about what you are doing. You can put this child up for adoption and give it a chance to live. Don't take its life away.

Honestly, I have never been in your situation. I don't know how it feels to be pregnant, but it must be bad if you need an abortion. First you should probably talk to your doctor. He or she should know a lot about what you are going through. If you are completely sure about the abortion, I would definitely get a counselor before you go through the procedure. Even though abortions don't physically hurt, it will leave a lot of mental pain. Get someone who you can talk to about how you feel. I know this is a very hard decision for you to make, but remember that there is always adoption. Good luck.

Anyway, I think the cost varies on how far along you are. I heard it hurts like hell and I think the procedure last about 3-5 minutes and it is complete. There is an anti abortion web site called abort73.com. If you want to see the horrible side of abortion go to that web site and watch the video. If you have a weak stomach at all do not watch it. It will make you think twice about abortion so if your mind is made up about the procedure do not watch it. If you want to see what happens to the fetus then watch it. It is horrible, though. It is heart breaking.

If it is a medical abortion, then your medical would cover the cost. You don't want to go to any 'back street' abortion clinics, they can wreck you for life - providing you live through the abortion. Yes, it hurts like hell, so you will need heavy duty painkillers. I don't think you're bad - just very careless. What about checking with your doctor - they are very compassionate. And family support - do you have any? If you were my daughter, abortion would not be a viable option - I would help you. truthful information is that abortion is murder. That baby has already started to develop and it is LIVING inside you. When you kill it, you violate God's law. Now that you know that, to do so will put you at risk for eternal damnation. That means you'll be in a pit of fire for eternity. Of course lying will get you there too. You need to repent and ask God for help. My friend wasn't sure if she wanted to keep her baby, but she kept it. And she loves him. I love him too. The truth is that having an abortion ought to require the death penalty as with any other murder. It's only biblical and I might just say that if you kept your legs closed you wouldn't be in this trouble. Food for thought. This might sound rude, but it's prudent and it's entirely correct. When I hear something like this come out of someone's mouth, or written, it makes me wonder what the world might be like if someone like you had parents who made that decision to abort. Jess, you ALREADY HAVE a baby. Whether you want her or not, she is there inside you, depending on her mommy to protect her. You wouldn't let anyone hurt your dog or cat, right? What would you do if someone grabbed your dog and started ripping apart her body, piece by piece, while she was still aware and alive? You would be horrified. you have my full support. if i was in your situation and could not have this baby i wouldnt have it. i live in us and here you can have abortion for 500 us dollars when u are pregnant for the first month. they give you some kind of pill and you pass the fetus like you would have your period. as you progress further in you pregnancy then the procedure changes and its more invasive. it doesnt hurt cause they give you something for the pain and it lasts maybe up to an hour the whole procedure. good luck to you.

the price depends on where you live 350 in California ,have them put you to sleep then it doesn't hurt as much,and the procedure doesn't take that long. i wish you all the luck i know it is a hard thing to deal with but you do what is right for you

an aortion is free depending on the situation. i believe you are to far in your pregnancy to have an abortion. it isn't painful to you, but very painful to the baby. the procedure can take for 5-30 minutes. they either burn the baby out of your body or they use surgical tweezers and rip the baby piece by piece. you are better giving birth to it and putting it up for adoption.
