Iran may just be the "Heaven of Earth." The people of Iran, given the relatively small size of the country (about the size of Texas), are VERY, VERY diverse. Iranians are also a group of people who have very high Intelligence Quotient. The climate of Iran, once again considering the size of the country, is very much varied from one place to another. The north is covered by trees and it is very lush. The west is plain-like with a fair amount of percipitation. The east is a bit more mountainous with tons of lakes. The south borders the Persian Gulf and has many Islands. It is truly a country to see for oneself. Don't trust what you hear or read; they are rarely true about any country, let alone Iran, which has quite a number of political oppositors.

My visit to Iran was very memorable. I loved meeting people every day. They were most friendly and generous. We traveled across the desert, and saw schools that the children attended. They were made of different types of Earthen elements.
I felt quite special when my sister and myself were invited into a family's home, which was a cave. We were the first Americans, or tourists to have the pleasure.
The woman had a huge Calderon of yogurt she had been stirring for days. It is mixed with salt, and when dry, and shaped into small balls, it is used similar to candy, however it is nutritious. and replaces the salt loss in the high temperatures of the desert.
They served Dulk in the small movie theatre I attended with my sons father, in his hometown of Rafsanjan. It is yougurt, with mineral, or carbonated water, a pinch of salt, and dill weed. I still prepare it here in the states.

Also, the food was always tasty. Over all, even with all of what is going on in the world, I can say, that, I love the Persians still.

This Journey was in the year of 1976, and all of our time was spent in the remote areas of the Desert. I did not visit the other lovely regions of the country which are considered Ideal.

My most enjoyment was visiting the Nomads, and simple lifestyles, and small remote villages, and seeing the warm smiles of the children.
