There are several trees that have thorns. It would be just a guess for anyone to get it right and then you still wouldn't know. Go to the site of trees and check it out. You will probably find your tree there. Also, you didn't indicate where you live. Different trees grow in different areas. I hope this helps.

Some locust trees have thorns. The best bet would get a Tree keying book at the library- they are easy to use and a lot of fun.
