The population growth around the world is an issue.
But not all countries have a balenced mix.
Indias birth rate is skyrocketing, especially to have more males, but due to infant mortality and disease, many dont live long. Leading to a vast number of youths.
Japan is having a sexual revolution. Women are becoming independant and business oriented. So Japan, has lower birth rates with more adults. Leading to a future deficit in population.
In order to reach a balance in population, couples should have 2 children. In effect replacing themselves.

What's scary is that the overall population of the world is growing. Asia, Africa and Latin America is where the growth is happening, in those places that are already overburdened. They can't feed or care medically for their people, now, and they will expect for the West to provide for them.

What's really scary is that intelligence is dying in our overpopulated world. Smart people are actually being phased on by reproductive choices. It's been researched and determined that a woman with a low IQ is likely to have at least three children in her lifetime, whereas, a woman with a high IQ will choose to have two or less. At least that's the case in the United States. I'm assuming it is similar in other countries.

yes it is scary. Dont get me wrong, I am a compassionate person. I know that thousands in those areas die every day from starvation and disease and many other countries are helping with that problem but possibly in doing so, we are dooming the planet. At this current rate of growth, we WILL use up the resources of our world very quickly. Yes the USA can produce vast quantities of food (as well as several other countries) but that wont be enough in the years to come. I simply dont see a solution to this one

And the people over at ONE.org wonder why we have problems over there. But hey, send Bono your money anyways. Somehow its our fault I am sure. YOU EVIL, SELFISH, SELF ABSORBED AMERICANS!!!
BTW, I will give anyone $100 bucks that you can donate to the charity of your choice if you get me a copy of the sales slip for the shades Bono was wearing in the video on Yahoo questions. That out to be a real eye opener. Lets see how many hungry kids we could have feed for the price of those shades!!!

this can be one of the side affects of ending poverty and starvation in this world. Presently there is enough food to feed the world but under the present conditions if the number of poor countries continue to reproduce at the present rate there will be too many people in the world to feed. Then what will Bono say?
