You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink, true. But whose to say that you can't give him salt tablets and make him thirsty?lol.

A stomach of the horse is not so big and horses do not vomit usually at all due to anatomic pecularities (if only a stomach is broken). Some of people remarked that and used for aphorism.

meaning any-one can be a follower but to do what you or you nature does not want to do .so like a horse lead me but can't make me !

pretty much what everyone said. you can try and persuade someone ro something to do what you want,. but it is their own choice whether or not they do it. also:: you can lead a cow upstairs, but it will not follow you back down.

what it just means is that no matter what you do to help someone, if the person does not want to be helped you are wasting your time

it means you can teach someone and pursuade all you want but you can't make him make the choice overall
