Trust is not a word can be used with Severus Snape, in my personal opinion depending on the series.
He has a great ability to hide his thoughts and emotions, he is cruel, mean, severe, cold, and powerful wizard which makes him in the dark side more than the light side.
He has a strong loyalty for Slytherin and all what he and his house represent.
He's fond of dark arts in a professional way.
He is full of secrets, very faithful to his Death Eater fellows, yet Dumbledore trust him, and that makes us ask why?
I personally think that Snape is neither with Dumbledore, Harry, and the Phoenix, nor with Voldemort and the Death Eaters. He is with Snape, just, and he could be the next Dark Lord after Voldemort's Death, so he could participate in his vanquishing mission helping Harry in it, indirectly.
Snape is truly a Death Eater from his heart, and a member in the Phoenix because he had to, he's a double agent. He's more related to Voldemort, and he's only working for his own sake.
He might help, but he's not some person can be taken for sure, or guaranteed.

Snape is a very complex character who will show his true colors will show in the last book of the series. Though he hates Harry Potter, He did save Potter once during a quittich game where Harry was injured and had to spend the weekend in the hosptial to regrow his arm that's found in Harry Potter and the Chambers of Secert. Being a double spy for two waring faction is very dangerous the problem is that people like Snape has to be walk carefully before the other sides finds him out and tries to destroy him.

No, I do not. I think that he really was a double agent all along, where his true loyalties lie with the Death Eaters, not the Order of the Phoenix and Dumbledore

I believe that Snape is innocent. First of all, how can Snape kill Albus Dumbledore even Voldemort can not dare to kill him and what kind of a deadH eater would teach H.P tricks while he was trying to kill him (check your book the part where Harry is trying to curse him Snape was giving him clues about occlumency), by the way I don't believe that Dumbledore is dead....

I really believe that although he killed Dumbledore, he was doing it for the "greater good". I think Dumbledore sacrificed his life in order that Snape could get closer to Voldemort and help Harry kill him.

I really can't make up my mind. You see, I read something on line that proposed an interesting theory with the possibility that Dumbledore didn't die, but instead it was a set up. Check out this link so you can form your own theory.
