Which is the best institute in the world to learn animation and multimedia. I seriously wanna be an animator and a good one.

It really depends on what you want to animate. For 2-D animation there's really not too many choices. Cal-Arts is one of the best http://calarts.edu/schools/film/index.html. There's Sheridan in Canada: http://www.sheridaninstitute.ca I've seen a lot of cool work come out of there. There's also "Gobelins l'école de l'image" in Paris, France http://www.gobelins.fr/ Which is a little far from the States, but they do some great work. See http://www.pyrats.net/ for an excellent example. 3D has a more variety of locales. One place to watch out for is SCAD. http://www.scad.edu Scad is a good school for everything except animation. They'll teach you how to build 3-d models, but not how to move them. They use to be great, but they're animation department isn't even close to being what it should be. Their broadcast design department though, is one of the best on the east coast. When it comes to actually animating, there is one simple rule to keep in mind: "Never copy Anime. Copy Chuck Jones."
