I'm working on a couple of stories, & just when I'm getting to the good part, I freeze up & get writers' block. I don't know what to do. I've tried everything, but nothing seems to work!

Step away from what you are working on. Let it go. Focus on other things. Come back to it in a few days or a week. Don't be afraid that you're not spending time on it. It'll come to you when it's ready.

If youre using MS Word, change the background color from White to something else.... It eases eye strain, and that will help.

Im also a fan of legal pads. Sometimes its easier just go outside and watch the world for a bit.... just write down anything and everything, grammar and spelling be danged.

Seriously, try Legos. Build something out of Legos or Tinkertoys or something.... just to get creative. Ive built with Legos the night before Exams and Graduate Exit Essays. It really helps.

Just my two cents.... worth exactly what you paid for it.

I heard writer's block sometimes come from being tense.. If it's true, try to relax..

Sure. Think about things that inspire you the most. Search everywhere you can for ideas, but don't force yourself to write about something that has no societal impact or something that you don't necessarily care about.

Go out in your front yard.
Scream at the top of your lungs.
Take a good look around.
Usually that shakes something loose for me!
