Well, people are self centered for the following reasons:
* The environment the person grew up in.
*Or the person is just a ignorant narrow minded person
*Or simply the parents spolied them rotten

Most people have the need to be noticed and appreciated. Some have been raised with a lack of and others with too much. Our society on the whole has become more materialistic which has been a big factor in the me,myself,and I formula. It's like everyone is in competition with each other; looks, fashions,possessions, job status, etc. You can thank Hollywood and the media for that.

IF if there were a God who made everything he would be able to manage everything . He could tell us just look after yourself and be happy. The only person you could know something about is myself. So best to start there to see what others need.
