I liked the quote from Shearer on the BBC basically saying that Rooney will prob **** him one on the 1st day of training. Perhaps that move to Real Madrid would be the best bet for Christiano lol

Public memory is very short term, so I don't think Ronaldo has anything to worry about in terms of the fans.
As for Rooney and Ronaldo - I think that as professional footballers, and being in the public spotlight, there won't be any issues. Besides, football of that magnitude is very high pressured, and players probably do all sorts of things.

Absolutely no chance. Ronaldo will be forced out of Manchester United, mainly coz can you see any UK Man Utd fan buying a shirt with the cheating little jessie's name on the back? What a slimeball - instrumental in getting a fellow professional (albeit a troglodyte thug) sent off then giving a little sly wink. He'll be jeered at every away match, and as a winger will be in danger at every away game this season - he'll get bottled if he dares show his face at Bramhall Lane, that's for certain.....

I think the whole of England will have a fight with Ronaldo and if they do not put Rooney on a leash, he will probably kick him [Ronaldo] in the groin and mash it to bits.

don't you think it'll be Rooney getting lynched back in Manchester? After all, he was the one pulling a Beckham, not Ronaldo. Little b****** - hope he has it rough BIG TIME by the way, I can't stand Ronaldo either. All gob and rubber legs

Looks unlikely that they would, and public memories in sport do last a long time especially when a country is denied its chance of winning the biggest sporting event in the world. Still, it's always sad when friends (or at least they're supposed to be as clubmates) turn against each other over something like this.

i dont fink they will but it was all ronaldos fault like that rooney got sent off- they thought it would make it a little bit easier for them to win but it took pens to get them through not having 10 men to 11!

yes i certainly hope so..but hes such a little weasel that i think ronaldo has a pre signed contract to Madrid when the world cup is over so he wont have to face him and that is probably half the reason he did it in the first place!...oh well just have to wait until the champions league when Liverpool play real Madrid and Gerrard can give him one of his special tackles...the cheating git!
