They were not good enough.

Zidane wanted the win more, and he got it.

Mohammed: Don't be nasty. How's your Portuguese?

Brazil itself is of course a very strong team, every single player in brazil should be feared. But they became overconfident, they begin striving for a goal at the very last min, which is a vital mistake. In addition, Brazillians does not seemed as focused as they usually do. France, Thierry Henry, had already said he has exploit throu brazil's defence. Brazil should keep a close eye on him, like how France kept an eye on Ronaldinho. Non of Brazillian's beautiful strikes occured in the match, many awaits Roberto Carlos's powerful strikes 25yards away, with cooperation of Ronaldinho. Carlos Alberto Parreira wanted Brazil to had more ball possesions then jus rushing forward attacking, like they usually do(infact, that's what makes Brazil a fearsome team). But, this time in the match, it seems that Brazil took Parreira's words, and slowed down their attack. Brazil needs previous World Cup 2002 Coach back, Luiz Felipe Scolari(now Portugal's Coach). France had to Shatter Brazil's defence by weakening Both Lucio and Juan, and it happened. Its good that France thought throughly before the match, Brazil will learn from this match, and come back Strong again in 2010.

Very simple: France never has been dazzled by the Brazilian game. That's now 6 wins 2 losses in FRA BRA WC match-ups.

I always enjoy watching Brazil play, but when the hype on any team is bigger than their performance it is difficult to cry when they go out. Same thing happened to France in 2002. Now France, Italy and Germany are getting better every game so it should be a great finalé. Portugal, methinks, are on their way out.

Brasil lost because they were not good enough. I am positive the world cup will go to a better deserving team.

Brazil did their best, but France was so great with their team cooperation. Zidane and Henry, both of them were leading to make the team win to the next stage. Their defense was tough and cool, and their move and run with a ball were certain. Brazil could not demagnetize to let France make a goal.

I'm sure Brazil will come back strong next time in 2010, and I hope to see them and their smile again!

Muito obrigada por tudo pra vcs!

Same reason why England lost. Their big players did not deliver on the night and Zidane and France were just too good. Ronaldinho went to sleep and there was not enough urgency till Henry scored.

Started game by rooting for Brazil...ended it by rooting for France, who played much better. Brazil put in some good individual efforts, but would always find a way to fizzle out whenever they were on the offence. France also had good individual efforts, but their passing was better, their defence was better, their team game was better...they deserved to win.

Because they couldn't keep up with the pace of the game and France had more heart and wanted to win where as brazil was playing as if they expected to win.
