after all the grief brazil and england fans were giving us for losing yesturday, isnt it wonderful to see them go home today. The brazilians are blaming the referee in other questions, but whats funny is that the most controversial call of the game where ronaldo dives at the edge of the penalty box near the end of the game setting up the ronaldinho free kick was in their favor!

In my deeper, darker, more vengeful side, I suppose I like seeing those teams out as well. It still hurts that Argentina is not playing the final. Can you imagine what it would have been like for Argentina to be playing on 9 July, the day of its independence?
(a day later...)
I've got to add something: It feels a little bit good to be an Argentine fan for now (until Tuesday), because, on paper, Argentina is still the best. In team attack, they share the most goals in the tournament with Germany, but they have the most assists (10), the best ratio of goals to shots (about 20%), the best ratio of goals to shots on goal (about 43%), and are second only to Brazil in the number of short passes. The ratios indicate they were the most efficient at scoring, or to put it another way, if they take a shot, they were more likely to score than any other team. The assists and the number of short passes indicate they controlled the ball better than anyone. The little extra icing on the cake is that four of the five best goals of the tournament were made by Argentines. Through five games in the world cup, Argentina had the best control and efficiency, and flair to boot.
Forget this year's performance by Brazil: they lost their mojo and "o jogo bonito". Germany has all the grace and beauty of a steamroller. Italy and France are clumsily waking up in time to make an appearance at the semifinals and Portugal has been quietly getting things done. But above all, Argentina had "el fútbol más hermoso" in the tournament, even if they lost.

It certainly does. Almost everybody here in Suriname supported Brazil.. The streets were dead today.. people cried on television.. And it feels great because they had so much to say about the Argentinian team! At least we know that we were the better players of the game against Germany. The Germans just got lucky. Brazil just plain lost and they deserved it because they didn't play well.

Argentina played much better than Germany and didn't deserve to lose. I hope Germany doesnt win because they had a bad attitude with the Argentine team, they just got lucky.... Argentina has made the best performances in the World Cup so far and I SUPPORT THEM NO MATTER WHAT AND WILL ALWAYS BECAUSE THEY LEFT THE WORLD CUP WITH THEIR HEADS UP HIGH!!!!

we all know how our wonderful Argentinians feel ;) about us losing..
that said..we don't blame the refs....we really don't..France played better...and yeah WE are cheering for Portugal....BUT...
let it be known that we BLAME our coaches..they really mismanaged our players and their roles..ANYTIME..Ronaldinho gets a brainwash that he is not to score??????
that is garbage!!! apparently the Barcelona coach knows better and that is why they WON and Brasil LOST...yes different circumstances...but..in the end...Zagallo screwed everything up! We blame our coaches...but we know our players did not play 100%..THEY even said they were at 80%...you can't do that with Zizou...ggrrrr still angry...at least we both went out in the same quarter finals...

i love argentina and its sad that they lost because they played so much better than germany. however, with peckerman gone, i see a 2010 world cup win for them...
till then, GO PORTUGAL!!!
and maradona should be the new coach for argentina.
