Why is anything called anything? Where did names get their names? This is really like a MILLION questions all rolled into one easy to carry package! but seriously why?

Seriously, "I'd rather be snargleblabing" or "Gone snargleblabing" just doesn't sound the same!

I've often wondered such myself. Maybe it came from the Greek word Pisces...(or is that Latin?)
I don't know why they called a fish Pisces either.
"Snargleblab" is talking in your sleep anyway so they couldn't call them that.

Because a "snargleblab" is a blind furry rodent living in the caves of Southern Berlin, in Germany.

i too ask myself stupid questions like this one as well. someone decided this would be the meaning of things like fish, but who's to say that we can't make our own defintions for words. have you ever seen the classic movie Clueless? they too made their own meanings to words....we could make a new dictionary!
