I am putting away childhood stuffed animals but i don't want them to be gross later. Is it ok to put them in large storage containers in the attic? should i put something in the ontainer with them?

Help!!

It is okay, however you should induvidually wrap them. You can use grocery bags. Just place them inside and tie them up.

Then you can put them in large containers and will not have to worry about dust,or mold and mildew from damp fabric.

Oh, and in the container make a layer of newspaper on the bottom of the container and one layer over everything on the the top, this will absorb any potential moisture if the container sweats at all in attic.

I would put them in the large storage containers with some dryer sheets to keep them smelling good.

I found putting them in large black Hefty bags was the best. And
it keep the dust out. And they don't smell funky later.
TV advertises space savers that have a reverse vaccuum suction. I haven't tried this. The black Hefty bags worked perfectly and a heck of a lot cheaper.

Space Bags (get them at local department store). You put your items in the bags, the vacuum the air out. The bags seal and no moisture, bugs, dust, etc. can get in the bag.

AWESOME product!

If you can't find them in the stores, they have an online site too (but cheaper in stores).

Wrap with acid free paper, and place in a container with cedar chips and/or lavender

in container is ok i would also suggest some moth balls!
