It would seem in some categories it is quite low, or the intelligence of our society using Yahoo as a median is getting lower by the minute.

It would seem that some that make reference to those of use that ask a question or answer a question are boring or bored. If I had a total of 119 questions and answers I would consider myself interested in learning rather than being bored or boring. If this applies to you, think about it...

If we categorize it by topic:
The sex, poop, fart, name-calling, insensitive, and insulting point-collecting crowd's average age is probably about 13. There are a lot of them.
The group that suffers a good deal of angst but can put together relatively coherent thoughts (using a lot of texting shorthand and while having difficulty when using words such as "they're, their, there, your, you're, its, it's" etc.) are probably in their late teens to 20s. This may include a subgroup with an average age of 17 who are high.
Those that spend a good deal of thought on an answer and ask questions about complex topics that require more than a "yes," or "no" as a response are probably in their 30s or greater. Many seem to have families and are very interested in home, work, gardening, and other pragmatic things.
And those that answer many more questions than they ask and respond using paragraphs with thoughtful, multi-layered reflection are probably 40-70 years old. There aren't enough of them.

The internet demographic in general is way younger and slightly maler than the population in general.
There are lots of very young folks involved here and also quite a few people for whom English is not their first language.
I would hazard that some categories, for example "gardening" ones, attract an older clientele.
I will now predict the numerical average age of yahoo answerers, based on my extensive observation. --->22
That average would be even lower except that a few of us oldsters can affect the numerical average powerfully because their is more upside of 22 than there is downside.

It appears to me that the general age is anywhere from 10 to 25 for most of the general questions. If the question is of a more technical or life experiance type, you can easily tell the age or maturity of the person answering by their response.

Hmmm. It would seem that if the average age is so low and wisdom is gained usually through age, then Yahoo answers would not be a very good means of ataining any useful wisdom for helping with any of our questions.
