We all have our pet peeves about our beloved U.S. of A. But come on now, let's get a little introspective. Is there anything that you think other countries do much better where we completely suck? Is there anything totally annoying about the US, esp. compared to another country?

I'm not a flag burner, but come on, it's the 4th of July. Let's grill some sacred cow burgers!

I am a 100% rah, rah, red, white and blue American, but what irrititates me about this country is that there are rules against everything.

I was in Turkey a couple years ago and had the most amazing little adventure. Our tour boat docked a couple hundred feet offshore. We dove off the boat and swam to a rocky precipice. There was a short piece of rope so you could pull yourself out of the water. Then you had to scale this steep rock face, similar to the climbing walls at gyms and sporting goods stores.

Once you reached the top, you walked a short distance to the entrace of a cave. The floor of the cave was sharp rock, which really hurt when you walked on it. After a short distance, the cave turned abruptly to the right, and you were in absolute blackness. You could hold you hand in front of your face and not see it.

There was a small hole that you had to put your legs through and let yourself slide into another chamber. The hole was so narrow you had to go through it sideways.

Then you crawled on your hands and knees about 100 feet through absolute blackness. I used one hand to crawl, and another to make sure my forehead was not going to smack into the very low ceiling of the cave. (Other people regretted not doing the same!)

Finally, you exited the cave into the bright sunlight. Right ahead of you was a cliff where you had to jump about 35 feet to the water. I had never jumped from so high before, and I literally had to sit down for a minute just to work up the nerve. However, there was no real choice to make. Going back through the cave would be much worse, and I'd never make it back through that narrow opening.

If this cave had been in the United States, I never would have had such a great adventure. Everything would have been forbidden, restricted, or made safe for idiots.

1) The boat would have forbidden diving off the side. You would have to climb down a ladder.

2) You would not be permitted to climb up the rock face. Too dangerous! You could fall.

3) They would have ground down the floor of the cave so it wasn't so sharp against your feet. Also, they would have installed lights everywhere, and made the opening from the one chamber to the next much larger, and probably painted orange stripes to alert people to the drop off.

4) Once you reached the other side, you would have to sign a waiver that you do not have any heart problems before you could jump.

Europeans will never open their borders to buddies, in basic terms to companion countries in a unified Europe. that's barely like interior the u . s . between the states. so which you have that already for an prolonged time. If we open the borders we could have much greater immigrants, via fact of this we've a strict coverage in Europe, basically like interior the u . s .. certainty verify : Any united states accessible that extremely cares approximately buddies ? i do no longer think of so ! buddies are in basic terms interesting whilst they are in a place to be commercially exploited or used politically to stand a third ability or whilst they're in basic terms a effective secure untreathing neighbor . this is how the international works.

I love our country but we are not humble enough. That is annoying. Ask 100 people when Flag Day is or whats the different between Memorial and Labor day? Two or three might actually know the answer. People use these as holidays to party instead of honoring what they are really for....our freedom to Not be humble.

Sure, in the European countries, they close for 2-3 hrs in the afternoon to have lunch and then reopen. They also have 6 wks paid vacation to spend time with their families. Places close so people can do this. The almighty dollar is not a God.

The only thing that sucks are the people that discrace this great nation. We are the best at every thing. Why else do all these people sneak in our country?

The entitlement mentality of this country is dragging us down the toilet.

Let's go back to the days of; "If you want to eat, you better work; If you have kids, you better take care of them."
