Well, what are the parents doing while the kids are on myspace? If the parents have a problem with it they should have had more control over what their kids were doing.

It's the parents fault for not taking proper interest in their children
These kids don't know any better and there parents ought to be watching out for them. Myspace is a horrible site and only users 18 and older should be allowed but in the end it is the parents responsibility.

Myspace... an experience I will never forget....
Anyways... myspace is an abusive, controlling place, where what you think goes onto a website for viewers to see and get hurt from. I think that people should take responsibility for their own actions, because it's what they WRITE on myspace. I know that myspace doesn't go out writing all this blablabla about someone. But, yes you can never write your deeeeeeeeepest thoughts on Myspace because it will bve spilled out for your friends and teh unkown to know.
But clearly, take responsibility for your faults is the main key.

I think the only reason bad things are happening to kids through myspace is because they're not smart enough to think safe when sites ask for personal information. It's not smart to put something like you address or your phone number, or even you IM id.Another thing people do is add people to their friends who they don't know, or they lie about their age and flirt with people over the internet. So to answer your question, if people would just think smart and stay safe, none of this stuff would happen

I think that every parent should be responsible and block myspace from their computer! Problem solved. If my child doesn't know certain things before he goes to the website he will after he's been there! There are perverts on that website that are just pretending to be someone else and kids are just gullible enough to believe them.

Some parents are always looking for scapegoats as to why they're not being parents. Parents should be monitoring their kids internet usage. My mom won't let my sisters (both under 18) use instant messaging.
I never figured out how that one 16 year old girl was able to hop a plane to the Middle East without her parents knowing till after the fact. Whatever happened to the days where parents paid attention to their kids?

Myspace isn't the predator. Even w/out myspace..there's still chat rooms, instant messaging, ect. There will always be a way to destory lives. Parents need to know what their children are doing, and have enough of a relationship with their child that they wouldn't be so distant. :(

It's the people that use it's fault and the Parents of the minors faults for not watching their kids. People need to start "Parenting" again.

I totally agree. They should be monitering what their children do, not Myspace. It's people like them that make this world what it is
