as long as the motor lines up with the bolt holes on the transmission you should be able to get away with changing the motor mounts (assuming you don't already have a 350 in it) If the transmission bolt holes do not line up you would need to buy an adapter plate. but a 350 is a gm motor and a chevy is also a gm product, so they should go together quite well.

You should have plenty of room depending on the size engine currently installed . The only problem would be the motor mounts themsleves and making sure the transmission /bellhousing will bolt up. The drive shaft should be no problem. Depending on your general mechanical ability and/or assistance available it should be pretty straight forward.

Get a Chilton guide for your truck, it shoudl show you how to pull the old motor and make sure it will bolt up to your bellhousing and tranny.
