hate usually hides tremendous hurt. but hating a large number of people without knowing them ( like all african americans or all gays ) comes from the single minded parents. Parents who teach hate are basically neo-nazis.

Dear Courtney, Most of us do not hate other people no matter how they look. Some of us are afraid of people we do not know.. The unknown is always scarey. Some of us are shy and are waiting for you to speak to us or be nice to us so that we can become friends. Many, many people waste a lot of their short time in this life on hate for all kinds of things. But HATE is just that. Wasted Time. Do you realize it takes more energy to hate than to like or to love or to forgive? Some people pretend to hate us and even go so far as to say they hate us when really they haven't taken the time to get to know us. God says we are to love everyone, even our enemies. When God looks at us thru His all powerful, all knowing eyes, He looks to see how we love. We are judged by Him on how we love. Not on how other people love us----He says to love one another and treat everyone the way you want to be treated. God expects us to do that, just love each other. So as long as you are doing that, you are the one making good choices. Explain to those other people that you like using your energy and time in making people feel good about themselves because that is what God expects from His children and we are all His children---no matter how we look! Looks don't matter that much anyway, what is in your heart and what makes you a good person is what is important. Don't let them upset you. Just keep doing what you know is right and everything will be just fine. God rewards those who keep His word and commandments. Sometimes take a minute & turn in your Bible to the second book, Exodus, and read chapter 20. You will find all His commandments to us right there. They never change.

Because most of the time you can make out how somebody will act because of the way they look. That is why people emphasize the importance of dressing up well to look up professional. I personally hate rednecks because of the way they look and act. I just cannot stand them.

I have found that people hate others due to envy, fear and inferiority of the mind, one tends to want to be important and when some one else is taking up that position it inspires the weaker to react adversely. I deal with this constantly so I am an authority. Don't Hate Me.

People tend to hate what they don't know or someone who is different. They don't take the time to get to know a person. I have done that myself, then when I got to know that person I was very surprised at how well we got along, and how much we had in common, and also our differences. Sometimes I felt ashamed of what I thought about that person based on their looks. That is called stereotyping.

I believe people hate others because of a basic insecurity. I don't know of any person who has a good feeling of self-worth who HATES others. The people who hate others probably don't love themselves that much.

Because somebody in this world taught them to hate. We were born free of hatred. Born innocent. Then sadly, people learn the emotion of hate from another.

I don't think people hate other people because the way they look I think there are other reasons why they might say they do, jealousy or to lift their own ego would be two examples.

Hate is really just a term used for other emotion.. in this case jealousy. in other cases hurt or betrayal. people who say that love is the opposite of hate are incorrect, hate is still an emotion.. meaning they still "feel" something for that person. the opposite of love is indifference.. meaning you don't have any feeling or care at all for that person.
