Quality of life is what you make it. For me, it is having the love and support of my family and friends. It is believing in God and his plan for my life. It is trusting I am where I am supposed to be.

Do I have food to eat, clothes to wear, and a roof over my head (regardless of name brand, or neighbourhood)? Do I have friends and family who care about me and who I care about? Am I able to be independent (mentally, physically, and emotionally)? Am I able to ask for help when I need it? Am I able to make choices for myself? Am I able to communicate with others?
All of these questions combine within me to determine quality of life. Thankfully, I have an excellent quality of life.
By the same token, if I am ever in an accident, and am a living vegetable and in a long-term coma, please harvest the organs from my body that you can, and then pull the plug on me.
