Hi, I hope anyone can help me with this. I tried logging into Windows Live Messenger today. At first it didnt work. It aksed me to download a newer version of Windows Live Messenger Beta even though its new. I then removed Windows Live Messenger from my computer and then downloaded it again. After I clicked on RUN it gave me this message:
Extracting File Failed. Its most likely caused by low memory (low disk space for swapping file) or corrupted cabinet file.
Ive tried in vain to download Windows Live Messenger again and again and again but each time it gave me the same message.
Could it be that I have viruses on my computer ? If I format my computer will I loose my MSN (Windows Live Messenger) contacts ? PLEASE HELP ! ! !

First try to reboot and do not have any other programs running while you download and install.
If you have Windows XP, go to a restore point dated before you removed the first version.
After you do the above and still have problems, post the problem again with all the details of your actions and error messages.

strong to entice close I wasn't on my own in having problems with MSN/Hotmail/stay both. It cropped up about 2 hours in the past. i visit get to the portal pages for Sympatico (Canada), MSN & stay. yet unable to get the sign up web page in any of the pronounced internet sites. sounds like a denial of service attack. desire it isn't in regards to the Pakistan incident the day previous.

don't use windows live messenger, use the real MSN. if you reformat your computer you wont loose your contacts, only your display pics and emoticons and some smilies.

dont use that crap use the real msn that live messenger craps out ur hard drive then u cant defragment the drive so stay away from it
