XXXXXXXXXXXXXX I am a black female, my husband is white. We have four beautiful children. Our baby is 2 years old. Our second daughter is 9. Our first son is 12 and the eldest girl is 20. We have a beautiful bi-racial family. Yes, I think all races, not just black and white should mix. We are a military family and have lived from North Carolina to California and had not ONE problem with people because of our race mixing. We have been married 13 years this August. My eldest daughters father is Yugoslavic/Belgariun? I didn't fall in love with my husband because he was white, he didn't fall in love with me because I am black. We have a very deep love and respect for eachother and even though we have a lot uncommon interest, he likes Abba and Leonard Skinard, I love oldies from the seventies like the Commodores, Stevie Wonder, Barry White, etc. Which I think is pretty normal because even you and I being the same race a couple has different likes and dislikes. We have so much more in common. So much that it's scary sometimes. As if we are reading eachothers minds. Our kids are a beautiful copper toned complexion. And we've taught them to love people of all races and to judge people by the way they treat them not by the color of their skin which is the way they've been treated all their lives. Ofcourse there were people against us even marrying expecially his mom. My husband is French Canadian. His mom said she'd curse the ground he walked on and cut him out of the will etc. if he married a "black woman". Now after so many years of marriage, kids and a great family life, his mom worships the ground I walk to. She says I was God given to her son. Had he listened to her he would have missed out on a lot. And ofcurse our four children would have never been a part of this world. Good luck hun. GO FOR THE GOLD XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

In this day and age you are given a choice. Back when my grand parents and great grandparents were little they were not given one. Everything that has changed from then to now says that there is no reason why a man and a women who truly love each other should not be together. Your love is blind to the fact of color, that is all that is important. As long as the two of you instill that in your children everything will be ok. I am a white female who was given a choice as a child as to who I was friends with and who I dated and would some day spend the rest of my life with. I have several black friends both men and women and I too had dated black men. My parents I have deep respect for because they taught me to see people not color, race religion or money but real people. If you have children just make sure you do the same with your children and they will respect you. I feel that because my parents were so understanding it has made me a better person and a little easier on those who may live differently than I do. I wish you the best of luck. I know what it is like to be so in love that you are thinking of children. I hope all your dreams and wishes come true.

no, or vice versa.... because of the effects on the kids, for no other reason that that! Those kids are the one's who suffer, they are not recognized by the white community, nor by the black community. They have identity issues because of their "mixed" race and often don't feel that they fit in.

That's like asking if it's ok for a tall man and a short woman to have kids. We're all humans, just bult differently and shaded differently.

This day and age you could have kids with any ethnic group that you like. There is nothing wrong with having a child with two different ethnic groups. I have a child who is mixed. He is 11 and seems to be very happy. His brothers and sisters are all white and it doesn't seem to bother him at all.

I think if people are in love no matter the race should do what ever is in their hearts content. Don't just have a child because you think your child will be cute if you have it with this person.
