Sears markets their sewing machines under the "Kenmore" name. Sears manufactures nothing. As you know, they have contracted with many sewing machine manufacturers over the years to have their "Kenmore" sewing machines made. Sears is also notorious for failing to provide the type of information you seek, as well as such things as PDF copies of owner's manuals etc..

The best advice I can give you is to do a Yahoo search for "vintage sewing machines" (include the quotation marks). Have your model number and /or serial number handy. There are many many websites to explore and I am sure that you will find the information you want.

Good luck with your search.
