Actually, I think it is the best month here in Boston! Warm days, cool, beautiful, crisp air in the evenings. Wonderful!

September is a great month in New England. It's still likely to be pretty warm during the day, but cool enough in the evening to need a sweater. Sometimes there's rain, especially early in the month.

The weather follows a similar pattern to the UK and September/October are the Autumn season. The only problem is that this is a very popular tourist time as the fall colours are spectacular, so roads and hotels are fairly busy.

September is a little varied. Usually it is warm, but any humidity from the summer is gone, so comfortable. Rain (usually tails of hurricanes) is not unusual. But it usually doesn't last for long periods.
Mid to late September is usually a good time to see the leaves that have changed color up North. (I am in Rhode Island, so that 5 -6 hour drive 'up North' to New Hampshire is an event) It is a Rhode Island thing.

Probably one of the best months. The days can be wonderfully warm with little or no humidity, usually 70's, sometimes higher, and the evenings are great. Good sleeping weather with the windows open.

The weather is awesome in September...not too hot not too cold, just right for sleeping.

in the 60s and 70s. it's like summer in the beginning but towards the end, it's nice but you need a sweater. leaves start falling

It's actually really hot in September. I don't have AC in my dorm and it's pretty hot. It's sunny too.
