Is "debut" like "debutante"? Well, answering on the supposition that that is the case, and answering as a man who grew up in an "elitist" neighborhood in a big city, I can say that I'm forever glad that I never got stuck in that stuff. I'm sure my mother would've done something like that if I hadn't had my dad stop that before she even mentioned it. I had a brother-in-law who escorted "coming-out" debs in New York, and he might have been attractive and in the limelight then, but I can't figure what he's made of his life since then, around 25 years ago. He and my sister divorced not long after that, maybe about a year or so after that, and he did make a couple of tv commercials for well known American companies, but, after that, and even during that, I can't say that his role in the debutante / debut world had much lasting positive effect on his life. God Bless you, and your son if you take him in that direction.

Just think if your debut for him goes wrong. Then it could get him embarssed. You could give him one, but make sure it a theme he would like. It don't have to be cool to be a fun party. Just don't make your self go into debt with this now.
I would go with the hawaiian one. The playboy would be to sexist for a young guy.

what the hell do you mean make your son a debut? Are you talking about that old, stuffy high society tradition of a girl's "comming out" party when she becomes a "deb" as in debutante? Gee are they still doing that old fart stuff? Is your son gay? If he's not people think he is if you try making him a "Deb". Not that theres anything wrong wit it.

Are you talking about a coming out party? Seriously? For a boy? Sounds like an excuse to party...just party and don't embarrass him in that manner....
