I don't think any actor could be the next president. Granted, being president involves being able to put on a show for the public; but it also involves military knowledge and ability to be calm under pressure. I doubt there's an actor capable.
If you are aiming to find a bad president though, choose George Clooney- he's like a modern day Ronald Raegan.

Almost all the actors in Hollywood didn't even get out or high school they don't have any qualifications for crap except to act, look at CA for example. None of the actors are smart enough remember they may act smart thats because acting is there job.

I'd say Mel Gibson. I know he is not a US citizen but that wasn't the question. He is an actor in the US and he's smart. Morgan Freeman as someone already mentioned is also a good choice.

Clint Eastwood, but he's now to old for the position.
Morgan Freeman, someone said, but he lives in Amsterdam, not the USA.
Most actors would not be able to handle the job, because their is not a script to follow.
