Absolutely.

But does that stop me? It hasn't seemed to. I sense very easily these days who is sincere and who is not. Once I find a like soul I open my self to them totally. And sure......I get hurt a great deal. And yes...people enter my life for a reason or a season. But I gain something each time. It may be joy....it may be pain.....but always with a lesson learned or a lesson taught. That has to be worth it! :)

Thank you for entering my circle......will you please stay? Kick your shoe off.....I hope to see you for the long haul. :)

Sassy, my dear, I constantly bring people into my "inner circle". I have no problem with this. And yes, sometimes it opens me up for hurt later on....BUT...it also opens me up to get close to some of the most fantastic people on the planet...which makes it so worth it. I don't let everyone see my "inner circle", however, because it is there which I am most vulnerable. I have grown keen as to who I should allow in and who I shouldn't (although I must admit, my judgement is sometimes cloudy). The person I allow "in" has full access to all my amenities and I trust he/she will find happiness and comfort. Its a risk I take but I think it makes me a richer person for it. *shrugs* But what do I know...I walk around with my head in the clouds 1/2 the time.

I would eliminate the word ónly´out of your question. Of course you may be opened for hurt later on in your life but that´s not the only thing that may happen to you. You may also reap the rewards of a nice relationship. Life is full of risks and if you risk nothing that´s exactly what you´ll get; Nothing. Don´t forget that the other person is also taking a similar risk in coming into your inner circle. Of course, be selective and evaluate people before you take chances; Avoid getting hurt but don´t hide your light under a bushel. God bless you!!!

Opening your "inner circle" always involves risk. You're making yourself vulnerable to someone else. Some people will hurt you, but is that a good enough reason to shut out everyone?
