Twister: popular name for a tornado. (and a movie and a game)
A tornado is a violently rotating column of air.
A thunderstorm, or an electrical storm, is a form of weather characterized by the presence of lightning and its attendant thunder.
Hurricane=Tropical cyclone=typhoon:
In meteorology, a tropical cyclone is a storm system with a closed circulation around a center of low pressure, fueled by the heat released when moist air rises and condenses.
Tropical cyclones can produce extremely high winds, tornadoes, torrential rain (leading to mudslides and flash floods), and drive storm surge onto coastal areas.

A twister is a nickname for a tornado. A thunderstorm is simply a storm that produces thunder and lightning. A hurricane is a storm formed in a tropical region over an ocean that can become hundreds of miles across. I thought most people knew the difference between all these.....

A twister and a tornado are the same thing. A tornado forms on land, and a hurricane forms over water and then moves onto land. A thunderstorm is just when it rains really hard basically.

Tornado and twister are the same thing they destroy alot of things and lift houses, cars, blow down powerlines, and a thunderstorm is thunder which is just a loud thud and its rains. A hurricane is much much worse like katrina they are more powerful than a tornado. But watch the weather channel for weather updates.
