Take a cold pack out of the freezer--if you don't have that, take a couple of ice cubes and wraq a thin cloth around it. Go over the wax on your shoes until it gets real hard, then carefully break it off. It should come off easily since it gets hard from the ice. Then take a brush, i.e. an old dry toothbrush and scrab the candle wax crumbs off. That should do the trick. The spot will be wet from the ice, therefore the shoe will have a spot. If that is still there when the shoe is dry(next day or so), get a little leather soap and wash it with that according to the instructions, then get mink oil and treat the shoes with that. They should look like brand new shoes after that. I have a leather couch and had to remove a wax spot from it and did it as described above, it worked.

Put wax paper over the candle wax and use a warm iron to make the wax more plyable and pull it off. It works when you spill candle wax on carpet. ....Personal experience

Put a doubled paper towel over the shoe, then use an iron on medium to heat it up - move the paper towel around a bit and the wax should soak into the paper towel as it melts.

You might try to pour boiling hot water on them, it should melt the candle wax. Just make sure your feet aren't in them when you do this lol
