You must understand that 95% of working age Kuwaitis "work" for the government and everything is provided for them. That is why the country is called "Kuwait" - you just stand in a "queue" and "wait", because nobody here is in any hurry.
Therefore, the only Arabic you need to know is IBM -
"inshallah" God willing, "bukrah" tomorrow and "mumkin" maybe.
Good luck

Whenever some one greets you with "Soloam elankum" always answer back with "Whylankum Soloam." Some people get offended if you do not. It basically means Peace be with you. I'm not sure if I spelled it correctly though.

Habeebi is what a wife would call her husband. kinda means darling. Habeebtie is what a husband calls his wife. Also, it could mean a close friend. I got confused because my husband told me when I called him Habeebi, it meant darling. But then I heard a bunch of guys call each other Habeebi. So they had to explain to me the differences.

My husband's country has a lot of French influence on them. So mine is all mixed with a little French. I don't know much of either.

I'd add "inshallah" meaning "God Willing" as a useful phrase. Even if you're speaking English to someone you can tack it on to the end of lots of things.
