i can try answering the 1st part but the 2nd is just a probability. the earth is 70% water and the tides are controlled by the moon. human beings are also 70% water so it is understandable that the moon affects us in pretty much the same way. i have heard it said that full moon nights are especially eerie because it has (in some way) an effect on people. it brings out the romance, for sure.

A full moon simply means that the moon is on the opposite side of the Earth from the sun and yet not in the path of the Earth's shadow, such that the light from the sun illuminates the entire visible side of the planet. How on Earth would that have any effect upon someone's emotional state?

The idea that a full moon somehow affects behavior is a superstition. Examples people commonly give of extreme behavior increasing during a full moon are the result of "confirmation bias" in which a person who believes something selects and remembers only that evidence which corresponds with his belief. In other words, it's hogwash.

Women are definitely influenced by the full moon. More babies born then, etc. In early societies, women's cycles tended to sync up with the moon, and with the women in the tribe. This fact is probably what made people aware of time itself, and why we have, to this day, a lunar calendar.

Secondarily, women's cycles certainly do influence their moods, so there is at the very least, some scientific basis for that idea. For me, I tend to get much more wild and uninhibited, more sexual, but also more inclined to get moody as well.

Because our bodies are 80% water, some seem to think that the pull of the moon seems to affect people, like tides making us react in different ways! Did you know that the worst time of the month for mental paitients is at full moon, even if they don't know it? I suppose it could make some people moody, but I think hyper is more likely

I work in a hospital so trust me when I say that the moon most certainly DOES effect the way people behave... on a full moon night it is complete insanity!!!

Possibly, but, from a psychological point. Not Physical. My woman thinks the moon is romantic, so, when it full she really feels sentimental, from romantic thoughts.

Not a full moon, but when the moon's orbit brings it closer to planet Earth. Like the tides.
