They need to start a little goat farm in the bleachers. I wonder: do goats eat ivy? Also they should fire Dusty Baker and talk Ernie Banks into replacing him. (Nothing against Dusty, but we gotta get Ernie that World Series ring!)
Seriously, the Cubs have been plagued with bad teams for decades. At least Wrigley cared. Aren't they owned by a newspaper now? I'd like to see the Cubs go all the way, assuming the Mets are having a bad year and the Mariners don't make it to the World Series (this last is an easy prediction most years).

Aww whats wrong? you're a cubs fan and you see the cubs for who they really are?
That must mean that you aren't drinking enough your oldstyle beer.
That's what you cubs fans do anyway right?
Cuz if I was a sober cubs fan, I would've asked this question a while ago, probably during spring training.

so which you desire the Chicago Cubs to win a international series? right here is what you need to do: exchange into employed as a Wrigley field (assuming it keeps to be named Wrigley field) secure practices team member next, you need to be very selective on who and what you enable interior the park. If a Bartman tries an get right of entry to, deliver him in direction of U.S. cellular If a billy goat tries an get right of entry to, kick Donald Trump out of his luxury container and accomodate the goat compentently exchange that eastern dudes call for Gods sake and finally, sign and revive Mark previous, removing the metallic bolt from his head could help... in case you persist with those policies, the Cubs could win it...in case you're fortunate.. P.S. despite you do, do no longer mock the giants or pirates, beacause your international series drought will continually be longer have exciting interior the triple digits clearly, Bob the Billy Goat

Hendry and Baker. Going into the season with 3 starters doesn't work, its not rocket science. Ship off wood and prior, health is essential to starting pitching. Also, put someone in the middle to protect Lee, walks will pile up soon if no one is there to save him.

They put too much into 2 pitchers that cant stay healthy. Its time to move on and get rid of prior and wood. the offence will improve now that Lee is back in the line-up but they may be too far out now to get back in the race but as always there is always next year.

Too many injuries, Wood and Prior just needed to stay healthy and Lee's injury earlier in the season didn't help either
