You know you could give this a try, I was in spain in a bar once and they had a plastic bag of water hanging from the ceiling, they actually said it was to keep the flies away - whether it works or not I don't know but if it does, then it's better than pesticide!

That or you could buy a Venus Flytrap - brilliant things, a plant that actually eats flying insects!

If you live in England pay a visit to Morrison's super-market and buy a Venus fly trap or a pitcher plant it wont stop them coming in but they wont get out again Either that place a load of sh** at the other end of your garden then they wont want 2 come in cos they can dine AL- fresco

Venus flytraps or other carnivorous plants (??) in barns you can fill an empty open milk gallon, fill it a 1/3 of the way with water, and it attracts and kills flies, they go it to get the water, and cannot get out... it really works.

I've just recently brought this fluorescent light thing..hung it up by the back door, the fly into it and then they touch this electric coil thing around the outside of the actual light and it kills them.

Only problems is they are left stuck to it and you have to unplug it from the mains to clean them off.

Still, it works!

Just lay a bit of sticky tape, sticky side up, at the bottom of the window, so when they fall on it, they can't fly back up!
