I don't think Harry's scar is a Horcrux. We already either know what they are or we have a good idea.
The Horcruxes
1. DIARY - destroyed
2. RING - destroyed
3. Slytherin's LOCKET - unknown where & IF destroyed yet (I think it has)
4. Hufflepuff's CUP - unknown whereabouts
5. Nagini - wherever Voldie stashed her
6. Something of Ravenclaw's OR Gryffindor's - unknown What & Where (Something of Ravenclaw's is more likely)
Rules of a Horcrux
1.Object must be collectible, as a trophy and chosen with some care
2. Object must have a powerful Magical history
3. Objects that, in themselves, have a certain grandeur
Jo has said the sorting hat is not a horcrux, because horcruxes do not call attention to themselves. Even though Harry does not call attention to himself, he has a lot of attention on him. I doubt he would make a good horcrux.
Harry is basically a half blood, and ol' Voldy wouldn't consider him good enough to hold a part of his soul.

Wow, that would be the best excuse for Rowling to kill off Harry in the final book. He'd be making the ultimate sacrifice to put a stop to Voldemort.
But still, the whole event that brought down V- when H- was a baby was totally unexpected by V-. So would he have even had time ,or presence of mind, to make H- a horcrux?

That's just what I said but now I don't think there can be living horcrux's (we decided this after much discussion!) however the Phoenix feather (possibly from Fawkes) that is split between Harry's and Voldemort's wands can be! My brother thinks that it means that one soul is split between Harry and Voldemort (and possibly Nevile too!) but I suppose that is a horcrux. All we can do is wait.

I read somewhere that someone will perish in the 7th book, but J.K. Rowling wasn't revealing who. I think it's Harry for sure. If Harry was a horcrux it would be a perfect (but tragic) end to the series.

No It cant be Harry Dumbledore all ready said it, that a human would not be, Plus if you remember when Slughorns memory show Voldy when he was young, He said to make one, you had to have killed someone then do a spell, and as Voldemort tryed to kill Harry when his was a baby, and it backed fried, he couldn't have been able to since he was near dead.......

on her website, j.k. Rowling says very clearly that harry potter is not a horcrux, that it has to be an object. I thought of that too, until i read her site. maybe it is his wand or glasses? who knows lol, i love guessing though!

Yes, I have had this theory myself. Going to have to read the books again!!! I think that at the end, Harry will die or have to kill himself killing Voldemort because if he doesn't, Voldemort will live on through Harry and will not be completely destroyed.

Yes!!!! I came up with that theory too!!! But all my friends don't want to hear it. But you know what that means, don't you?!? It means that Harry has to die in order to destroy Voldemort! Gasp! Nooooo!!!!
Oh well, at least that will eliminate a Harry-based spin-off. Seven books is enough don't ya think?
