well, i reckon that hate is the flip side of love - they're 2 different sides of the same emotion, passion.

both of these emotions are all encompassing; they occupy your thoughts, your actions, they take over your conversation and they shape the way you look at the world.

i think it's very hard to love without losing a little of yourself, and at the same time it's hard to hate without losing a little of yourself. the difference is that love is generally a lot easier to maintain.

hating someone or something takes a lot of energy, so it's natural that it corrodes you - it can be hard work thinking negative stuff about someone or something 24/7!!. love, on the other hand, takes almost no energy so although you lose a little of yourself in loving, you give it gladly and you get it back in spades.

Not really

But if i put my fabric of existence in the wash with hate, it has a tendancy to shrink.

Ignorance, defeatism, passive nihilism, ennui of comlete passivity, giving-over of consent, reduction of will to discipline, apathy for life or change, contentment with status quo. LOVE for your oppression is that which FESTERS like moth maggots in the armoire of humanity.

yes...but humans are not concern with internal 'fabric", rather fully occupy themselves with external dramas unaware, that external dramas is nothing , but reflection of corrosion of mentioned very fabric. Circle complete.

hate shouldn't exist .... its disgusting ... dislike maybe because we all know we're not perfect but hating someone is not terribly nice .... it makes one sick to do so ... we all need to tackle our problems head on and deal with them yeah its easier said than done but we're all made from the same stuff .... don't give way to hating rise above it
