Linux or windows?

Linux most OS flavors should have it installed by default, but if not you can get it by using Yum or Apt.

For Windows its not quite as easy but you should be able to get everything you need from here http://gnuwin32.sourceforge.net/packages/gd.htm

What does "gd" mean? Is that a program? Hardware? More info, please.
